Blackwood Castle

Blackwood Castle was built or rebuilt in 1584 by Pyers and Elinor Fitzgerald of Ballyshannon, with a date stone bearing the Fitzgerald coat of arms positioned above the entrance serving as documentary evidence of its construction.
