An Bóthar Buí

An Bóthar Buí, "the yellow road," may derives from yellow mud deposited on the main street by stagecoach wheels churning the soil, or possibly from ragwort vegetation at the roadside. Alternatively may be because the main Sliabh Mór road turned towards Tara just before the town.
