Teach Mealóg

Teach Mealóg, meaning 'Mealog's house', originated as an early ecclesiastical settlement. The place name evolved through numerous historical spellings — Teggdologa (1172–1176), Thegdeloge (1192), Techdoelga (1198) — before standardising as Templeogue.
