Mainistir na Féile

Mainistir na Féile, meaning 'Abbey of the Feale', derives directly from the Cistercian abbey founded in 1188 by Brien O'Brien (Donal O'Brien), King of Limerick, Thomond, and Munster, on the banks of the River Feale in southwest Limerick.
