Ard Bó

According to local legend, while the abbey was being built, the lough dried up, leaving no water available to mix the mortar. The people of the parish gathered together and prayed for rain. Then, a cow appeared from the dry lough bed and provided them with milk to mix the mortar, allowing them to complete the construction of the abbey.
