Castlelost Castle is a ruined motte-and-bailey fortification situated in the townland of Castlelost, north of Rochfortbridge in County Westmeath. The castle was constructed around 1186 during the Norman invasion of Ireland, when Hugh Tyrrell, an Anglo-Norman nobleman and military figure, established the stronghold.
