Clonskeagh Castle

Clonskeagh Castle was built circa 1789 as a country residence for Henry Jackson (1750–1817), an ironfounder and prominent member of the United Irishmen movement. Jackson was one of Dublin's leading industrialists, operating substantial iron foundries both in the city centre and at the Dodder in Clonskeagh.
