Kilteel Romanesque Church

Kilteel takes its name from Cill Chéile, 'church of Celé Crist', commemorating an early bishop of Cenél nEógain who died circa 727 — the form officially adopted by the Placenames Commission, rather than the popular but unsupported reading 'church of Síle'.
