O'Brien's Castle, known in Irish as Caisleán Uí Bhriain (Castle of the O'Briens), is a 15th-century tower house that stands on Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands off the coast of County Galway. The castle name commemorates the powerful Clann Teige, a branch of the O'Brien (Uí Briain) family who ruled much of medieval Munster and Connacht.
