Thomastown Church

Thomastown Church, also known as St. Mary’s, was built on a site founded by the Anglo-Norman knight Thomas FitzAnthony, in the late 11th to early 12th century. The present day former church of Ireland, with its dominant single-bay three-staged tower, was built on what was the south aisle of St. Mary’s church, in the early 19th century.
